Bann Rowing Club closed for maintenance and painting 19th August until 7th September 2015

The Club will be closed between 19th August and 7th September to permit the council to carryout essential maintenance. The Committee has taken the decision to close the boathouse to all members during this period to enable the work to be carried out.

A heroes welcome home from Bann Rowing Club for Olympic Medalists (L-R) Richard Chambers,  Peter Chambers and Alan Campbell - Northern Ireland's Olympic medal-winning rowers are receiving a heroes' welcome in their hometown of Coleraine.Team GB rowers Richard and Peter Chambers took silver in the lightweight fours, while Alan Campbell won a bronze in the single sculls.They have returned to Bann Rowing Club where they honed their rowing skills.Sports Minister Carál Ní Chuilín said their "achievement really does transcend sport and serves as an inspiration to us all".The celebrations will continue with an appearance in the town centre at about 15:00 BST.The three men were cheered by supporters at Belfast City Airport as they arrived back in Northern Ireland on Wednesday morning. the-chambers-pairs-winners-2010-joel-chris bobbie-at-the-bann-boxing-day-races-2010 dscf4505
